What You’ll Need:

  • Essential: Skilled in operating conventional machines - borers, lathes, and drilling machines having accrued ideally 10+ years’ in this field
  • Experience supervising a machine shop is preferred but not essential - training can be provided
  • Strong attention to quality, safety, and efficiency
  • A proactive and flexible attitude
  • Please note that this position has no involvement with CNC machinery

The Role:

  • Oversee and support the day-to-day machine shop operations
  • Operate and maintain borers, lathes, and drilling machines
  • Allocate work to a team of up to 3 other machinists
  • Ensure safe working practices and team training
  • Suggest and implement improvements to processes and equipment
