Location: Stottesdon, KidderminsterPosition: Full-time, 5 days per weekSalary: Competitive, depending on experienceAspire are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team, working with children who requires both educational support and personal care assistance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in SEN, looking for a rewarding role in an inclusive and nurturing environment.Key Responsibilities:* Support with Learning: Assist the child in accessing the curriculum, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning needs.* Personal Care Assistance: Provide personal care support, including but not limited to toileting, dressing, feeding, and mobility.* Classroom Support: Support the child within the classroom setting, ensuring they are included in all activities and working alongside the class teacher to meet their needs.* Monitoring and Reporting: Track the child's progress, communicating effectively with parents and other professionals involved in their care and education.* Promote Independence: Encourage the child's independence while ensuring they have the support they need to succeed.Ideal Candidate:* Experience in SEN: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred, particularly in a classroom setting.* Personal Care Experience: A willingness and ability to provide personal care (training will be provided if necessary).* Compassionate & Patient: A caring individual who can form positive relationships with children and help them thrive in their educational journey.* Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team, supporting both the child and the wider school staff.Requirements:* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undertake one)* A passion for working with children with additional needs* Experience with personal care tasks is desirable, but not essential (training will be provided)How to Apply:Please get in touch if you are interested or would like any further details.
