Job Title: SEN Teacher - Art, Design & Food TechLocation: Torton, KidderminsterContract Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: 40 hours per weekAnnual Salary: £31,650.00 - £49,084.00 (M1 – UPS3)We are currently seeking an SEN teacher, specialising in Art, Design and Food Tech to join a new ASC/SEMH school in based in Torton supporting students aged between 5-19.The role:The school are looking for a passionate, inspirational and engaging SEN Teacher to deliver high quality teaching and learning to children and young people with SEMH and other complex or anxiety related needs who may present with challenging behaviours associated with their diagnosis. Some pupils may have multiple learning difficulties.Experience in working with pupils with SEMH and/or ASC needs in a mainstream or specialist environment is essential.ExperienceEssential:
  • PGCE, Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent teaching qualification and evidence of in-service training
  • Experience of working in a special school environment and/or in particular with pupils with SEMH or ASC needs or significant SEND, SEMH and/or ASC teaching experience within a mainstream environment
  • To be able to teach Entry level 2 & 3, GCSEs, and post-16 academic and vocational qualifications in your specialist subject. 
 Desirable:
  • Postgraduate diploma in SEN
  • Experience of successfully delivering a differentiated curriculum to pupils with a wide range of needs
