Grafton Banks Finance is exclusively assisting a very successful and rapidly expanding, PE backed SME near Bexhill, (hybrid with 2-3 days remote working per week), with the recruitment of a Financial Controller. The role reports to the CFO and manages a team of finance staff and takes responsibility for all aspects of accounts. It’s a hands on, yet commercial role including involvement in M&A activity and will gradually take on more and more responsibility from the CFO over time.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts for all Group companies and business units with insightful variance analysis and narrative reporting
- Manage the preparation of Statutory Accounts and act as relationship manager for external auditors and accountants
- Line management and development of the Finance team
- Development of finance systems, processes, and controls
- Preparation of rolling cashflow forecasts and variance analysis
- Lead role in the preparation of detailed annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Support the CFO in the analysis of M&A targets, M&A process, and subsequent integration
- Develop strong relationships with non-finance Business Unit Directors and Managers to effectively convey financial information
