Our client is looking for a proactive Conveyancing Assistant to join their busy legal firm to support a dynamic conveyancing team.

This is a part-time role, working 3 days per week.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing general administrative support to the Conveyancer.
  • Communicating with clients, estate agents, and other third parties as needed.
  • Handling new business enquiries and providing quotes to prospective clients.
  • Opening new files and assisting with AML and KYC documentation requirements.
  • Compiling contract papers, requesting searches, and obtaining documents from HM Land Registry.
  • Drafting legal documents, search reports, and correspondence as directed by the Conveyancer.
  • Preparing files for completion, managing the exchange of contracts, and generating bills.
  • Assisting with post-completion tasks, including submitting SDLT returns and preparing AP1s.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar role such as Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, Conveyancing Paralegal, Conveyancing Administrator, Legal Property Clerk or Legal Executive.
  • Familiarity with conveyancing procedures and legal protocols.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office.
  • Experience in residential conveyancing (preferred)
  • Ability to manage administrative duties efficiently and accurately.
