Self-Employed - Estate Agency Based Mortgage Advisor

Location: Remote/Home-based, Bexhill

Overview:

We are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker to join our wealth management client on a self-employed basis. As part of the directly authorised Chartered Financial Planner firm, you will work remotely and from one of the market leading estate agency offices in Bexhill, providing expert whole of market mortgage advice to clients primarily located in Bexhill, with additional leads coming from satellite offices in Tenterden and Rye. The relationship between the estate agency and the wealth management firm goes back over 30 years!!

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and values the flexibility of working from home.

Remuneration:

Realistic opportunity to bank over £200k - earning over £110k

Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and qualify leads: Generate leads through a market leading estate agency office in Bexhill, as well as additional leads from other satellite offices, identify potential clients seeking mortgage advice, and assess their needs.
  • Mortgage Consultation: Conduct comprehensive consultations with clients to assess their mortgage needs and financial situation accurately.
  • Product Research: Utilise your mortgage expertise to research and analyse a wide range of mortgage products from various lenders, ensuring that clients are presented with suitable options tailored to their requirements.
  • Financial Planning Integration: Collaborate with our client’s team of Chartered Financial Planners to integrate mortgage advice seamlessly into clients' overall financial plans, providing holistic solutions that align with their long-term goals.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with the estate agency staff, clients, offering ongoing support and guidance throughout the mortgage application process and beyond.
  • Team Work: Working closely with the financial services focused estate agency staff, in the Bexhill area
  • Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory requirements and company policies, ensuring that all advice provided is compliant and ethical.
  • Stay informed and compliant: Continuously update your knowledge of market trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes.
  • Business Development: Proactively seek new business opportunities and referrals, leveraging your network and expertise to expand the client base and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Requirements:

  • CeMAP Qualified: Hold a valid CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience working as a Mortgage Advisor or Mortgage Broker, preferably within a whole of market environment.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the mortgage market, products, and regulatory requirements in the UK.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly and effectively to clients.
  • Self-Motivated: Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using technology and software for remote communication, client management, and administrative tasks.
  • Ethical Standards: Strong ethical standards and a commitment to always acting in the best interests of clients.
