JOB- Mechanical Design EngineerLOCATION- East SussexTERM- PermanentSALARY- Dependent on experienceMy client designs and manufactures electro-mechanical products supplied to different sectors, and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer, on a permanent basis, in the East Sussex area.The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:• HNC/ HND/ Degree (BSc / BEng) qualification in Mechanical Engineering or similar• Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally SolidWorks but other programmes may also be considered • 2 years’ or more experience in the industry in a similar Design role ideally• Have a good understanding of engineering & drafting principles• Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team• Have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)• Be keen to develop with a company long term• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office SuiteThe Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:• Using SolidWorks CAD software on a day to day basis• Working from concept through to production • Working on both new and existing products• Producing the BOM’s and documentation for the associated designs• Being responsible for product enhancementsIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
