A specialist school are actively looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to assist with speech, language and, communication difficulties as well as, those with complex and, learning needs. This setting in Bexhill-On-Sea, caters for residential and, day pupils between the ages of 5 to 19. They are proud to say that they are a total communication enviroment. Responsibilities of a Occupational Therapist:

  • Asses children's learning and, emotional needs.
  • You will be member of a multidisciplinary team, responsible for assessing, planning and delivering individualised intervention programmes for a defined caseload.
  • You will work with children individually or in small groups within classroom-based sessions and, specialist therapy spaces to enable pupils to access the curriculum and promote meaningful engagement in school-based tasks.
  • Build trusting relationships with students.
  • Write reports making recommendations on action to be taken.

Requirements of a Occupational Therapist:

  • Must have a degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC and RCSLT registration is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and, colleagues.
  • Adaptable and positive approach.
