Main duties of the Occupational Therapist:
- Manage a caseload of in-patients with mental illness who have a forensic history and/or behaviours that challenge
- Carry out assessments of activities of daily living to determine a patients level of functioning
- Planning individual treatment programmes specific to patient needs
- Take responsibility for the planning, facilitation and evaluation of the group OT programme within the service
- Provide a consultative role in the planning and delivering of a ward-based activity programme
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
- Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
- Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
- Recent NHS experience
- Registered with the HCPC
