Main duties of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Manage a caseload of in-patients with mental illness who have a forensic history and/or behaviours that challenge
  • Carry out assessments of activities of daily living to determine a patients level of functioning
  • Planning individual treatment programmes specific to patient needs
  • Take responsibility for the planning, facilitation and evaluation of the group OT programme within the service
  • Provide a consultative role in the planning and delivering of a ward-based activity programme

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:

  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy
  • Recent UK experience working as an Occupational Therapist
  • Recent NHS experience
  • Registered with the HCPC
