Job description
Triangle Recruitment, working in Partnership with a leading supplier to the Construction Industry, are currently recruiting for a Production Team Leader at their site in Bexhill on sea.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 05:30am 14:30pm (with a 13:30pm finish on Fridays) Temp to Perm opportunity for the right candidate
As Production Team Leader start and finish times may vary as some flexibility is required to meet the needs of the factory.
You will be expected to carry out a variety of production related duties to ensure that factory and group procedures are maintained. The Production Team Leader must provide the relevant cover for the Production manager when required.
Key areas of Responsibility
Ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements.
Collection and interpretation of production data as well as collection of downtime data and ensuring accurate reporting.
Providing cover where appropriate to maintain maximum output of machinery.
Ensure team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctly.
Ensure that escalation procedures for quality concerns is followed.
Monitor & maintain all safety equipment, tool, H&S checks.
Responsible for training of operators.
Monitor time & attendance (escalating any problems to management)
Key Duties
Ensure effective communications between shifts to maximise factory performance.
Monitor over-manning & utilisation resources effectively ensuring that your shift has enough personnel trained to run & cover all stations.
Chairing the morning team meeting & the daly production meeting when required.
Help in identifying improvements & highlighting them to the Engineering Team and Production Manager.
Encourage & promote teamwork at all times.
Identify & solve problems, using resources under your direct control
The Production Team leader is an important multi-functional role within the Factory Production leadership team reporting directly to the Production Manager
Responsible for motivating & developing their team to meet daily and weekly factory requirements, the inspirational Team Leader will split their time between machine operational duties & organising personnel and systems to ensure maximum efficiency.
