My exclusive and growing client based in Sidcup is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager with knowledge and experience in Bid managing. My client is known for their quality within the construction industry working with a high focus on M&E projects up to 5 million. You will be experienced and knowledgeable within the JCT or NEC contracts, well experienced working in the commercial arena and is looking to join a dynamic, outgoing and family feel business.
Duties of the Commercial Manager:

  • Negotiate contracts to maximise profitability and minimize risk while monitoring revenue and costs ensuring financial performance.
  • Lead and coordinate the entire bid process, from initial tender review to final submission including all aspects of bid risk assessments, bid strategies tailored to client requirements.
  • Manage bid teams, ensuring timely delivery and highquality output.
  • Create tenders in response to client requests, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Administer contracts, including issuing variations, claims and payment applications.
  • Resolve disputes and claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Cashflow and cost forecasting.
  • Prepare accurate and compelling bid documents, including technical submissions and commercial proposals.

Experience of the Commercial Manager:

  • Proven experience of being a commercial manager with responsibilities of bid management in a construction industry.
  • Good CDM and H&S knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of UK construction contracts.
  • Proactive and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to lead.
  • Cross work in different functions, working as a team.
