About Us: We are a vibrant primary school located in Welling, Bexley, dedicated to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for our students. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team.

Role Overview: As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teacher and enhancing the educational experience of our students. You will work closely with children to assist in their learning, manage classroom activities, and provide individual support where needed. This role is a full-time role, Monday to Friday from 8:30am-3:30pm. We're looking to hire a teaching assistant on a long-term basis, as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behaviour.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Help to prepare teaching materials and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Little Wandle Phonics is a plus.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them achieve their potential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
