Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner with a strong background in local government? We are seeking a skilled professional to join the London Borough of Bexley on an interim basis, covering the Finance Business Partner role for Finance & Corporate Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic financial support across Finance & Property, HR, and ICT.
  • Lead financial advice on revenue and capital monitoring, budget setting, and closing processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with service leadership teams, ensuring financial insight supports decision-making.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the best use of financial resources.
  • Ensure financial reporting and data analytics support long-term financial planning.
  • Manage and motivate a team of up to 6 FTE, providing professional guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and governance requirements.
  • Deputise for the Head of Finance Business Partnering as required.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as a Finance Business Partner within a local government setting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and local government accounting.
  • Proven track record in budget setting, financial monitoring, and year-end closing processes.
  • Ability to provide strategic financial advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with financial systems such as Integra is desirable.
