About the Role
Our specialist SEN School in the Borough of Bexley are looking to recruit a Behaviour Mentor. We are seeking an individual with prior experience of working in a school setting, who possesses outstanding behaviour management skills and has a strong team mentality.
A background in psychology would be advantageous but not essential. We offer an excellent training package to support staff development, help you get settled and provide the best interventions for our students.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working in a class setting, providing support to the class teacher to maintain behavioural expectations and support all students to achieve academically as well as with their personal, social and emotional development. There may also be times where you will be required to support a student on a 1:1 basis, implementing interventions, de-escalating challenging situations or supporting a student outside of the class setting if they are unable to remain with the class teacher.
This Behaviour Mentor role can be hugely challenging but incredibly rewarding, and requires an individual with very specific personal qualities.
