SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Full-Time – FE College – Bexley Area

Are you passionate about supporting students in further education? Do you have the skills and dedication to help young people with diverse needs thrive in a college environment?

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a Further Education (FE) college in the Bexley area, providing support to students with a range of needs, including Autism (ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, behavioural needs, wheelchair users, and Down Syndrome.

Role Details:
  • Location: Bexley area
  • Days: Monday to Friday (Please only apply if you can work 5 days)
  • Hours: Full-time (exact hours TBC)
  • Pay: £85 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with diverse learning needs in the classroom and around the college
  • Assisting with mobility, personal care, and communication where necessary
  • Helping students develop independence, confidence, and engagement in their studies
  • Working closely with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, particularly ASD, SEMH, and physical disabilities
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for helping young people achieve their potential in an FE setting
