EdEx are working with a 'Good' Graded Primary School in the Borough of Bexley who are seeking an Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistant to support children across the school. This is a long-term and full-time position, and the Head Teacher is keen to speak to suitable candidates ASAP!

This 1 Form Entry Primary School aspire to deliver a creative and inquisitive curriculum to all students, encouraging students to excel academically and develop on a personal level. All students want to learn and are supported in everything that they do, leading to strong academics across the board. Staff collaborate within the community-based learning environment, with wellbeing of all being of the utmost importance.

As an Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with children aged 4-11 years within the class and in small intervention groups. Many of the pupils that you will work with are students requiring additional support, including those with SEND and SEMH needs such as ASD, ADHD and Speech and Language difficulties. Whilst upholding the school's core values of compassion, endurance and the importance of learning, you will encourage and help children to achieve their learning goals and set targets.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Unqualified Primary Teaching Assistant
  • Working with students across Reception - Year 6 in lessons and small groups
  • Supporting students with SEND/SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis to work towards academic targets
  • Collaborating with Class Teachers to deliver engaging lessons in core subjects including Maths, Reading, Writing and Phonics
