Purchasing Assistant
We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to manage the procurement of construction materials and support our operations team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase construction materials and raise purchase orders.
- Schedule deliveries and manage hired plant.
- Prepare procurement schedules and maintain supplier databases.
- Handle invoice queries and liaise with accounts.
- Research suppliers, negotiate pricing, and monitor market trends.
- Communicate delivery issues to the construction team.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and provide cost analyses.
Qualifications:
A relevant apprenticeship or degree in procurement is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Additional Information:
This is a full-time role, with standard office hours of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, though flexibility may be required to meet deadlines. Salary: TBC. Start date will be in the New Year.
