We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the English language and literature, eager to foster a love for reading and critical thinking among students.
Day-to-day of the role:- Teaching: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and cater to the needs of all students.
- Assessing: Regularly evaluate student progress through various assessments, provide constructive feedback, and set academic goals.
- Mentoring: Offer guidance and support to students, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicating: Effectively communicate with students about classroom procedures and expectations. Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians, especially during parents’ evenings.
- Preparing: Organize teaching materials and classroom space to create an optimal learning environment.
- Managing: Oversee the activities of teaching assistants, ensuring their contributions are effectively integrated into classroom practices.
- Administering: Maintain accurate student records and participate in staff meetings to discuss educational strategies and developments.
- PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK.
- Strong understanding of the English curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to undergo a DBS check or possess a current DBS on the update service.
