Maths Teacher/ Maths ECT - Permanent Contract

A STEM focussed school in Greenwich are looking for a Maths Teacher / Maths ECT to join their team in January or April 2025 on a permanent contract.

The school routinely achieve some of the best results in STEM subjects in London, this has been done without piling pressure onto teachers to ensure good results. Instead, the school have researched investing in more staff to combat a lack of PPA time and having received positive feedback they have implemented this change. As a Maths Teacher at this school not only will you work alongside a supportive SLT, but the school is also overstaffed with Teaching Assistants who will be there to support your lessons. This will enable you to fully enjoy your time in the classroom and not spend excessive amounts of time planning lessons.

• MPS1-UPS3 - £38,766 - £60,092 + TLR (Size depending on experience),
• January or April 2025 - Full-time and permanent contract,
• Teach across KS3,4, and option for KS5
• Plan your lessons to meet the Curriculum for Excellence national guidance,
• Work with colleagues to plan and coordinate lessons,
• ECT's and experienced teachers encouraged,

Maths Teacher / Maths ECT - Person Specification

• Must have UK Qualified Teacher Status
• Strong understanding of teaching standards,
• Maths related degree at 1:1 or 2:1 from reputable university,
• Ambitious and driven personality,
• Great communication skills,
• Desire to progress.
