The role is to provide high quality educational support to a number of students, whilst committing to safeguarding and the promotion of welfare of our pupils in a mainstream secondary setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- To work with the Academy Leadership team ensuring an ethos of Inclusion within the Academy and a culture of high aspirations for students with SEND
- To deploy staff and resources according to the needs of SEND students
- To write a termly report to the Governing body on progress and developments
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students across a range of subjects.
- Assist in delivering tailored interventions to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
- To support the class teacher to adapt learning materials to meet the needs of individual students, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education for all.
- Build trusting relationships with students to encourage academic and emotional development.
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and developing resilience.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
About You:
- Experienced in supporting students with SEN and behavioural challenges in secondary and alternative provision settings.
- Proven track record of successful teaching and pastoral care, with a focus on student progress and wellbeing.
- Skilled in working collaboratively with parents, governors, and external agencies to enhance student outcomes.
- Calm, patient, and empathetic, with strong interpersonal skills and a student-centred approach.
- Committed to inclusive education and adaptable in dynamic, ever-changing learning environments.
