We are seeking a proactive and organised Business Support Manager to enable our Chief Executive and Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) to deliver organisational objectives effectively. This role is crucial in facilitating the strategic management of meetings, coordinating leadership communications, and ensuring efficient executive support across the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:- Plan and organise CLT meetings to ensure a strategic focus on forward plans and core business objectives, aligning with corporate boards organised through the EA team.
- Track progress on actions arising from CLT meetings, solving problems or escalating issues as necessary to maintain focus and momentum.
- Develop content for leadership and staff engagement events and communications from the Chief Executive, ensuring messages are coordinated across CLT through the Executive Assistants.
- Organise and coordinate corporate tasks such as consultation responses, external funding bids, and council questions, liaising with CLT to determine responsibilities and track progress.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, particularly the office for the Leader of the Council.
- Coordinate the organisation and agendas for all corporate boards, working through the Executive Assistants who will lead for their own directorates.
- Review and respond to communications from partners and external stakeholders, drafting or commissioning responses on behalf of the Chief Executive.
- Plan the agenda and content for leadership and staff engagement events based on directives from the Chief Executive and Head of Service, liaising with colleagues responsible for delivery and presentation.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a leadership or executive support capacity.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in managing corporate meetings and drafting professional communications.
