Key Responsibilities:
**Culinary Leadership:**
- Develop and execute innovative menus for various events, including weddings, corporate events, and private parties.
- Get involved in the preparation and presentation of all food items, ensuring high standards of quality and consistency.
**Kitchen Management:**
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and food safety compliance.
- Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to enhance their skills and performance.
**Budgeting and Cost Control:**
- Monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure profitability while maintaining quality standards.
- Implement strategies to minimise waste and maximise efficiency in the kitchen.
**Quality Assurance:**
- Ensure that all food served meets the highest quality standards and is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen equipment and facilities to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
**Menu Development:**
- Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate seasonal ingredients into menu offerings.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to enhance the culinary experience.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a banqueting or high-volume catering environment.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
