Performance and Data Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst for an immediate start in a temporary ongoing role at a local authority based in Bexleyheath. The successful candidate will provide the Council’s Management Board with accurate, relevant, and timely data, research, and performance information. This role is crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, enhanced efficiency, and evidence-based decision-making within the Council.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Contribute towards the development of the Council’s Business Process and enhance senior managers’ ability to make informed decisions and improve performance.
  • Work with Directorates to develop outcomes performance measures and ensure associated systems are in place for robust performance management.
  • Analyse data to establish levels of need, identify trends, and understand performance metrics.
  • Streamline and automate performance reporting wherever possible to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within a local government or public sector environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with multiple departments to gather and interpret data.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
