EYFS Teacher (Reception)

Full time, Permanent

MPS-UPS £34,514 - £51,179 per annum

January 2025

Bexley

Our Primary School is a relatively newly established primary school with around 800 children on roll. We opened our doors for the first time in January 2025, so working here will give you the opportunity to be part of something unique: you will be able to help us shape the future of our still new school.

We are situated in the heart of Londons ethnically and economically diverse Bexley, one of the most successful Local Authorities in the country. Working here will enable you to benefit from working in close partnership with many other successful schools and you will have access to excellent professional development opportunities, including working with experts.

We have many fantastic resources, including our own forest, an art studio, a cookery room, an amazing playground and excellent digital resources.

The curriculum at our Primary School is broad and balanced and ensures children develop the knowledge and skills to succeed in education. Our curriculum takes a subject specific, rather than thematic approach, as we believe this means we can offer children the best possible experience in each subject area. As a result, our children make fantastic progress.

Alongside our excellent academic provision, our pupils have many opportunities for personal development, building character and for appreciating the Arts; we strive to make best use of all the unique and exciting learning opportunities on our doorstep in London.

We passionately believe in Inclusion and have a highly specialised team of professionals supporting teachers and SEND children. Our pastoral care for children is fantastic, we have ELSA trained staff, a play therapist, a yoga teacher and a counsellor.

Our children love learning, they are welcoming, and they are very well behaved.

Working here will mean you will join a teaching team that is aspirational, ambitious and very motivated. We have a mixture of experienced staff and those new to the profession who all work closely together. You will work in a year group team alongside at least two or three skilled class teachers, including a highly skilled year group lead, and you will share planning responsibilities. We have specialist teachers for PE, Art, Music, MFL and Computing. You will have access to excellent professional development opportunities, including leadership.

We are looking for someone dynamic and creative, someone who has a passion for cutting edge, research-based curriculum innovation and a commitment to develop their own practice.

Please note that as a school, we are unable to offer sponsorship at this time. All applicants must have a Qualified Teacher Status awarded by the British Department of Education.

We are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment. You will have a safeguarding responsibility if appointed. The successful candidate will be subject to enhanced clearance through the Disclosure and Barring Service and employment will be subject to references. This post is not exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.

To apply for this opportunity, send your detailed CV to Clarus Education now to be considered. We will be contacting those shortlisted within 48 hours of an application.
