An established business is looking for a Legal Secretary to join their team. The Legal Secretary role involves providing full secretarial and administrative support to the wider team, liaising with clients and other staff as appropriate to ensure the smooth running of the department. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within wills and probate.

Legal Secretary responsibilities:

  • Liaising with clients and effectively managing enquiries
  • Maintaining and inputting data into the firm’s case management system
  • Carrying out audio and copy typing for all correspondence including letters and legal forms
  • Providing diary management support
  • Opening and closing relevant files
  • Undertaking general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning and filing

Legal Secretary skills/competencies:

  • Previous experience within wills and probate desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • IT proficiency including MS Word and Excel
