Fleet Manager

Office Based in Bexleyheath

Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Our client, a leader in their field is looking for an experienced fleet manager to join their team. They are looking for a dynamic and organised individual to provide an efficient administrative and organisational services for their fleet vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee total fleet management: lease, hire, and company-owned vehicles.
  • Maintain an up-to-date fleet spreadsheet (lease details, mileage, emissions, MOT dates).
  • Obtain and place vehicle orders at the end of leasing agreements.
  • Update the insurance portal MID with vehicle changes.
  • Manage parking, congestion portals (e.g., Dart Charge, TFL), and vehicle tracking systems.
  • Induct new drivers, ensuring proper records and checks are completed.
  • Organise vehicle maintenance, repairs, and periodic condition checks.
  • Handle PCN payments, fuel invoices, and expense processing.
  • Monitor mileage, fuel usage, and lease compliance.
  • Liaise with insurance brokers and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Perform ad-hoc finance duties and adapt to additional responsibilities.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Effective decision-making, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with colleagues at all levels and work independently.
  • Initiative, resilience, adaptability, and a strong work ethic.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of managing large fleets.
  • Understanding of vehicle mechanics/engineering.
  • Flexibility for out-of-hours emergencies.
