Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering leisure centre refurbishments valued between £5-15m? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to lead a high-profile project from start to finish.
About the Role:
We are seeking a stand-alone Project Manager to oversee all aspects of a 13-month leisure centre refurbishment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on autonomy, taking full responsibility for project delivery, from pre-construction through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the refurbishment project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction, and close-out.
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to ensure efficient workflows.
- Monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain regular communication with stakeholders, including clients and local authorities.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project.
- Maintain project documentation and reporting, providing regular updates to senior management.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering leisure centre refurbishments or similar projects, with values ranging from £5-15m.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, particularly in refurbishment projects.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Adept at problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
- A solid understanding of construction health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
