James Stevens Associates are delighted to be working with a charitable yet very commercial provider based in Kent that are looking for a Senior Governance & Compliance Officer.

  • Role: Interim Senior Governance and Compliance Officer
  • Contract Length: 12 month (Maternity Cover)
  • Format: 3 or 4 days work per week
  • Daily rate: 225 - 250 a day
  • IR35 Status: Inside IR35
  • Hybrid working: 3 days per week in the office / Rest from home
  • Must have strong minute taking ability on Senior Board / Executive & Committee meetings

Entry Requirements:

  • Experience in case management and cross-departmental engagement
  • Articulate and professional in verbal communication
  • Previous experience in producing minutes ensuring a high level of accuracy
  • General awareness of regulatory framework for a well regulated environment
  • Understanding of great governance practices within a regulated environment and the application of Codes of Governance

Proficient Requirements:

  • A strong proficiency in minute taking
  • Fast typing speed and expertise in the production of a wide range of business correspondence and paperwork
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory and governance framework for a well regulated environment
  • The ability to act with maturity, professionalism and discretion
  • Excellent understanding of legal requirements relating to governance
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Data Protection Act and its practical implications
