We are recruiting on behalf of one of our secondary schools within the Bexleyheath area and we are looking to recruit a dedicated Science teacher to join their warm and supportive team.

This school is looking for someone who will join their Science department and become a part of their experienced team to start in the full-time role in January 2025 for a permanent position.

Our client is proud to be a non-selective school in the grammar heartland of Kent. They are quickly approaching capacity with students; in order to accommodate the demands of the local community and grow their staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Quality assurance (including contributing to the process of monitoring and evaluating the subject area)
  • Management of information (including maintaining appropriate records and tracking student progress)
  • Communications with students, parents and other stakeholders regarding student progress, behaviour, and achievements.
  • Teaching, ensuring a high quality learning experience for students

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Science across secondary schools and further education.
  • Good knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and experience in its implementation
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create a positive learning environment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual, trustworthy and can work as part of a team and to develop and maintain positive relationships with all staff
  • A genuine passion for working with children and enjoy working in a school environment.
