We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Safeguarding Social Worker to join our dedicated team at London Borough of Bexley. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of vulnerable adults, identifying their needs and risks.
- Develop and implement effective care plans to safeguard and promote the welfare of adults at risk.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals, including health, police, and other social services, to ensure coordinated support.
- Undertake complex casework, including child protection inquiries and safeguarding investigations.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and external agencies.
- Represent the local authority in court proceedings, as required.
- Promote a person-centered approach, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their lives.
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)
- Registration with Social Work England
- Significant experience in adult safeguarding
- Strong assessment, planning, and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage complex caseloads
- Commitment to safeguarding vulnerable adults
