Job Description:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural needs.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.
  • Assist classroom teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, ensuring each child receives the support they need.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and support students in developing social skills.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the child's educational and emotional development.

Person Specification:

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Are patient, compassionate, and dedicated to supporting children with behavioural challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
  • Can work flexibly and adapt to the needs of different schools and students.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (desirable but not essential).
  • Have a valid DBS check or are willing to undergo one.
