Our client is a leading and prestigious manufacturing company based near Downham Market, due to their continued growth and development they are seeking to employ a CNC Programmer on a permanent basis.

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday – 8am – 5pm although flexible hours can be offered. E.g. 7am – 4pm or 5m or 6am to 3pm.

42.5 hours per week (after breaks) 30 mins unpaid. 15 mins paid.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager and Production.

Competitive salary offered dependent on experience.

CNC Programmer

Overview of the role

To write, test and approve programs for each individual door and frame set as per manufacturing schedules and in line with production requirements.  You will be required to develop your knowledge of compliance standards alongside Field of Applications and scopes and ensure that all products adhere to the level of certification they are being manufactured to.

Key responsibilities:

Write, check, and test individual programs to ensure that each batch is complete and accurate.

Monitor the upcoming work schedule alongside instruction from Production Manager and Planner to ensure that programs are complete in full in advance of machining dates.

Accurately measure and test new ironmongery programming ensuring that products work as required to manufacturer’s instructions.

Work in advance of the production planning to ensure programming is completed as far in advance as possible.  This allows goods to be machined out of sync when extraneous circumstances dictate.

Save all programs for frames and doors to the relevant folders enabling CNC operatives simple and clear access.

To be a checkpoint in quality of information, referring to manufacturing schedules and project handovers to ensure that compliance requirements are met under the certification of each product.

Develop knowledge of certification and raise any compliance queries with the relevant PM/Technical team.

Maintain ironmongery samples boxes in an orderly manner ensuring that project specific products are kept boxed together and clearly available for machinists to use as samples.

During available time be available for the Project Management team to aid with any admin tasks, making best use of your time when ahead on programming.
