Reginald Gray is working with a long-standing client who is looking to appoint a Design Manager for a 40M prime residential project in the Cotswolds. This contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality bespoke projects, particularly within the high-end residential sector. Job Overview:

This role would suit a Design Manager with an architectural background, ideally experienced in delivering complex, high-value residential projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, ensuring smooth coordination between all stakeholders and maintaining the highest design and build standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the design process, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Work closely with architects, consultants, and contractors to deliver a high-quality project.
  • Ensure compliance with planning regulations, building control, and conservation requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate design risks, providing proactive solutions to challenges.
  • Lead design meetings, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
  • Oversee technical reviews, clash detection, and drawing/specification coordination.
  • Support site teams with design-related queries and ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Preferably from an architectural background, with strong technical and design coordination experience.
  • Proven track record working on high-end residential or complex bespoke projects.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations, planning laws, and conservation principles.
  • Ability to liaise with high-profile clients, designers, and consultants to maintain exceptional project standards.
  • Experience delivering projects in the 20M+ range is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
