This is an opportunity for a part-qualified trainee accountant, or alternatively a qualified by experience accountant to join an established and dynamic practice which is undergoing an exciting period of growth. Duties will include bookkeeping, vat returns and accounts preparation.

As a team member, you will have the opportunity to gain more responsibility and support the Senior Management Team with the continued development of the practice.

Role responsibilities:

  • Prioritising own workload
  • Preparing VAT returns and management accounts
  • Communicating with, and assisting clients with queries
  • Preparation of annual statutory accounts and Corporation Tax returns
  • Preparation of self-assessment tax returns

Our client seeks a candidate with 2+ years' experience within a general practice environment, who is enthusiastic, with a "can-do" attitude and a positive mindset, good attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

Other skills required are:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance workloads to manage the needs of various clients
  • Experience of sole trade, partnership and limited company bookkeeping, VAT return and accounts preparation
  • Experience with a range of accounting softwares; knowledge of Xero, Sage and Quickbooks is desirable. Training on CCH will be given
