As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity of our client by analysing complex data, maintaining high standards in financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement. You will be responsible for:

  • Analysing financial data to provide insights and recommendations for business improvement.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
  • Preparing statutory accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Managing cash flow and preparing cash flow reports, contributing to effective cash management.
  • Collaborating with team members to adapt to changing priorities and ensure timely task completion.
  • Communicating financial information clearly and effectively, tailoring your approach to the audience’s needs.
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and consistent work styles.
  • Utilising accounting software and Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) to manage and report financial information.

Experience:

We are looking for someone with the following experience:

  • Essential: Relevant experience in accounting roles, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Essential: Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Essential: Experience in statutory accounting, compliance, cash management, and cash flow reporting.
  • Essential: Qualified or currently studying towards an accountancy qualification, or possessing equivalent relevant experience.
  • Desirable: A degree in accounting or finance is desirable, but not essential.
