Auto Electrician / Electrical Installation Technician

A fantastic opportunity is currently available for an experienced Auto Electrician to join a market leader in specialist, low emission/alternative fuel, vehicle refit and manufacture.

In return a comprehensive benefits package is on offer, plus a 4-day working week, in a modern, well-equipped facility, in Oxfordshire.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the installation and test of chassis and body electrical control systems, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to.
  • Responsible for the installation and modification of vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the build documentation.
  • Responsible for the termination of various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC
  • Responsible for the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system as per the quality assurance documentation.
  • Responsible for the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
  • Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes including the training of others.
  • Staying away from home on occasions will be necessary to meet the requirements of the role.
