PERMANENT – Commercial Vehicle Installation Electrician
Looking for vehicle electricians to carry out works on commercial vehicles for a key transportation client in Oxfordshire.
The role is days Monday to Friday, permanent with competitive salary.

Vehicle Installation Electrician Required Qualifications:
Fully Qualified Vehicle Electrician to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering
Car Driving licence
Purpose of Post:
Responsible for the installation and test of chassis and body electrical control systems in accordance with customer specification, ensuring the necessary quality standards are maintained and adhered to.
Key Tasks:
- Responsible for the compliance with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures ensuring the workshop policies are being adhered to.
- To ensure that work carried out is to the agreed quality standard and ensure that all such quality sign offs, and procedures are complied with.
- Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
- Responsible for ensuring that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
- Responsible for the termination of various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
- Responsible for the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
- Responsible for the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
- Responsible for ensuring the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.
- Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
- Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes including the training of others.

Essential Criteria:
Educational Attainments:Â Time served automotive, domestic or industrial electrician.
Job Experience: Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC, Capable of reading wiring diagrams, Demonstrate experience of routing and connection of various cable types.
Technical Skills:Â Demonstrate basic fault-finding techniques.
Leadership Skills:Â Good interpersonal skills, Willing to undertake or provide training as required, An awareness of general Health and Safety rules.
