A wonderful opportunity for an experienced and professional individual to join a friendly, knowledgeable and highly experienced business as a Bookkeeper. The business is large enough to have a wide range of knowledge and experience but small enough that the service each client is provided is personable, reliable and to the highest standard.

Operating near Bicester the business operates daily with clients offering a welcoming face to all alongside outstanding and focused service. Therefore, you must be able to support this through your work. This position is solely office based and does not offer hybrid or remote working.

This is a full-time position of 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, but some flexibility with hours could be considered for the right candidate.

Duties of the role:

  • Assist with preparation of monthly and annual accounts, and reporting.
  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Completing VAT returns.
  • Invoicing.
  • Prepare management accounts.
  • Support with HMRC tax enquiries and investigations
  • Occasional travel to visit clients.
  • Cash flows and budget preparation for clients.

You must:

  • Have experience some experience within an accounts-oriented position.
  • Be professional and focused in a work environment but always remain friendly and approachable.
  • Demonstrate a keen eye for detail and efficiency
  • Show the ability to work independently and in coordination with the team.
  • Display the ability to use Microsoft Office packages including Word, Outlook and Excel.

Confidence using Xero and QuickBooks would be advantageous, but training can be provided if necessary.

Offering from £23,000-£30,000 per annum depending on experience.

The business will also offer 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and an additional 3 days holiday between Christmas and New Year. You will need your own transport due to the location of the role. If you are looking or your next role and would like to know more about this position, please apply now!
