Are you a motivated Accounts Assistant looking for a part time opportunity? Have you had exposure across accounts payable, accounts receivable and can support your wider team? Are you detail orientated, accurate and hold strong communication skills?If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!We are delighted to be supporting an established business based in Bicester. We are on the lookout for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join the team on a part time basis. This role will see you supporting the business across multiple sites inside and outside of the UK. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact within their small in house accounts team. This position offers a diverse range of responsibilities that will keep you engaged and challenged.This opportunity comes with an annual salary of up to £34,000 pro rata, dependant on experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Receivable - verifying sales invoices against purchase orders, sending to customers, processing credit notes, managing credit control, chasing debtors, resolving customer queries, and ensuring timely collection of payments.
  • Accounts Payable - obtaining necessary authorisations for purchase invoices, conduct supplier statement reconciliations and manage payment runs.
  • Expenses - managing staff expenses, company credit cards, process petty cash expenses.
  • Bank Reconciliations - reconcile bank accounts, process supplier payments, enter bank payments and exchange rates.
  • Financial Reporting - Assist in preparing monthly prepayment and accrual spreadsheets, and support the external audit process, particularly during year-end review.
  • Payroll Support - Prepare and post payroll journals.
  • Stock Management - maintain the stock spreadsheet, and keep the daily cash flow up-to-date.
  • General Administrative Support - take on a variety of ad-hoc tasks to support the team and the wider business.

Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum of two years experience in a varied Accounts Assistant, or similar, role.
  • Tech savvy with good Excel skills.
  • Accurate in data processing, reconciliation work, and financial reporting.
  • Confident and professional communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to prioritise tasks, and ensure a high standard of work.
  • Collaborative and supportive team player.
  • Able to bring a proactive approach to achieve results and continuously improve processes.
