Purpose of Post:

Responsible for the receiving, storing, kiting, assembly and manufacture of detailed and major parts for the production assembly line. Ensuring all parts handled, supplied, assembled and fitted is in accordance with the customer specification and Wrightbus quality standards. Responsible for undertaking any other duties associated with the post.

Key Tasks:

Responsible for the compliance with the companys health and safety policy and procedures ensuring the warehouse & workshop policies are being adhered to.

Responsible for the safe operation of plant equipment and or hand tools associated with the manufacture or fitting process.

Responsible for all aspects of the storage & assembly function within Logistics, including;

oReceiving and inspecting goods into stock

oHandling goods with care

oPutting goods in correct bin locations within store

oPicking and packing goods using appropriate materials

oProviding high level of service to internal customers (mainly production)

oEnsuring on time delivery of kitted material to production areas

Responsible for the fabrication of complex parts and assemblies related to the overall manufacturing process. Be able to interpret complex parts and assembly drawings. Be capable of following verbal instructions. Be able to move between several distinct operations whilst maintaining high quality workmanship and overall efficiency.

Responsible for the assembly of metal, wood, laminate and fibreglass components.In accordance with WMP specification.

To ensure that work carried out is to Wrightbus agreed quality standard and ensure that all such quality sign offs and procedures are complied with.

Ensuring Warehouse procedures and processes are adhered to

Accurate kitting and issuing of parts to material storage location and shop floor with a high level of presentation.

Transportation of material to the lines in a safe manner to ensure arrival on time and parts are not damaged.

To participate actively in stocktakes & continuous improvement teams.

Must be prepared to work additional hours when requested by management

Carryout duties in accordance with the equal opportunity policy.

Essential Criteria:

Job Experience:Previous experience of Materials handling & control in a fast-paced Warehouse Environment, Experience of Goods Inwards, Cycle Counting, Kitting and Works Order issuing, or a busy assembly line, Current Fork Truck License.

Technical Skills:Experience in using scanners.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience:2 Years experience in material handling or in a similar production environment, Experience in assembly work, Experience in the flow of material from delivery to fitment in a manufacturing facility

Technical Proficiency:Experience in using Sage or similar ERP system, Good knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace, Experience in using Microsoft packages.
