Job Title: Chef
Salary: £14.25 per hour
Location: Bicester (must drive)
Location type: Ministry of defense site
Hours - 38.5 hours a week on a 4 on 4 off rota (mainly working between 7-17.30)

Our client is a ministry of defense site located close to Bicester. They are looking or a chef to join the team to cook meals for 900 individuals twice a day. In order to apply for this role you will have no previous criminal record as well as lived in the uk for the last 5 consecutive years with a uk address.

Duties and responsibilities
*check all incoming purchases as ordered, for quantity and quality and delivery notes / invoices are logged into the kitchen journal correctly.
*Ensure knowledge of the operation of any kitchen equipment you are required to use, and apply all safety measures.
*Produce from the daily tracker using the components standard recipes food required for the day.
*Ensure food is prepared and cooked to the required standard and service delivery times, using unit recipes and portion control.
*Replenish where necessary keeping concise records of any additional items used.
*Assist, where necessary, in food preparation for any functions
*Maintain all HACCP /Security records including Hot/Cold trolley temperature sheets and tool checks.
*Discuss the next day's menu with Catering manager and follow the daily tracker.
*Assist where necessary, in cleaning of work surfaces, storage areas, utensils and equipment.
*Check all tools are secured before trainees' and staff leave the premises.
*Follow company or component policy in dealing with customer comments or complaints
*Comply with Health & Safety Regulations, Fire policy and report hazards to management
*Supervise and support the prison workforce working in the kitchen
