Description

  • Identifying potential suppliers and conducting evaluations to assess their capabilities.
  • Conducting regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Addressing and resolving any supplier-related issues or discrepancies.
  • Reporting on supplier performance metrics to management.
  • Assess risk to Supply Chain, maintaining contingency plans for critical suppliers

Profile

A successful Supplier Development Engineer should have:

  • A degree in Engineering/other relevant subject
  • Knowledge of the industrial/manufacturing sector and its supply chain processes.
  • Proficiency in supplier evaluation and development techniques.
  • Proven experience in problem solving/root cause analysis (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing)
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
