Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring efficient delivery of highways schemes to programme, budget, and quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
  • Support the Site Agent in planning and programming works, maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working on highways or large-scale civil engineering projects, ideally within a Tier One contractor environment.
  • Strong understanding of highways construction processes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage site teams.
  • Relevant qualifications in civil engineering or construction management (HNC/HND/BEng or equivalent).
  • Valid SMSTS or SSSTS certification and CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving licence.
