Senior Traffic Engineer - Contract Role?? Location: Kidlington?? Rate: £40 per hour?? Contract Duration: Until April 2026

We are seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality civil enforcement and traffic management solutions across the county.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new parking restrictions, Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ), Zero Emission Zones (ZEZ), and local traffic regulations.
  • Maximise on-street parking assets to benefit residents, communities, and the traveling public.
  • Ensure compliance with Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions and Traffic Signs Manuals.
  • Apply knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and Traffic Regulation Order procedures.
  • Design and implement traffic schemes, including traffic sign designs.
  • Use AutoCAD, KeySIGN, KeyPOST, KeyLINES, and Autotrack software for design work.
  • Analyse data and performance metrics to assess the impact of services and inform decision-making.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to legislative requirements, local policies, and procedures.
Requirements:

? Significant experience in traffic engineering and enforcement.? Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.).? Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.? Ability to travel between sites (own vehicle required).
