Our Client is a leading independent plumbing merchant dedicated to providing high-quality plumbing products and exceptional customer service.
Job Description:
Position Overview:
Sales inquiries, providing exceptional service, and ensuring customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Profitability:
- Responsible for achieving sales GP targets for the branch.
- Contribute to overall branch performance targets through effective sales practices.
- Help deliver branch sales in line with sales targets by actively promoting and selling company products.
Customer Engagement and Support:
- Engage with customers both in person and on the telephone, taking orders, providing advice, and resolving issues promptly.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to maximize sales opportunities.
- Contact key customers regularly to review the company’s performance and address any concerns.
- Work collaboratively with the branch’s dedicated Area Sales Representative to generate business and drive sales.
Order and Supplier Management:
- Negotiate with suppliers and monitor customer orders to ensure smooth, timely delivery and 100% customer satisfaction.
- Obtain quotes for special items from suppliers, ensuring the most cost-effective options are secured.
- Audit quotations to ensure they are pursued and followed through to successful completion.
Operational Duties:
- Provide support for marketing campaigns and promotions to maximize their impact on sales performance.
- Stay up to date with product knowledge to offer informed and exceptional customer service.
- Provide cover for the trade counter as needed to maintain seamless customer service.
General Duties:
- Ensure all company health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the plumbing and heating or building supplies industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive customer relationships.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Basic computer skills and experience with sales system
Location: Oxford
Hours:
07.30am to 17.00pm Monday to Friday, 08.00am to 12.00pm alternate Saturdays
Salary: £30,000 depending on experience
Bonus: Monthly bonus based on branch gross profit performance targets
