Title: Electrical Engineering Manager (UK Wide)

Locations: Remote / Covering Multiple Sites across the UK

Industry: EFR / Waste / Industrial / Waste to Energy / Power / Steam Generation

Shifts: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week

Salary: Circa 85,000 per annum + Annual Bonus + Additional benefits listed below

This national energy recovery company is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead their HV/LV Electrical Distribution Systems as the Senior Authorised Person and contribute to the company's growth.

You will be responsible for all UK Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) sites, overseeing technical aspects of HV and electrical projects, and managing relationships with distribution operators. You will ensure operational efficiency at each site, while also spearheading discussions with third parties on the planning and implementation of additional power generation to expand the company's business.

Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee that electrical safe systems of work adhere to legal, operational, and project requirements.
  • Manage electrical projects from design to handover, ensuring timely completion within budget.
  • Provide electrical engineering and technical support for operational and development projects.
  • Manage construction phase H&S, ensuring compliance with CDM and other regulations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of tender documentation, contracts, and consultant appointments.
  • Maintain professional relationships with Distribution Network Operators to resolve issues and identify opportunities.
  • Represent the company when liaising with utilities, regulators, customers, and the public.

Requirements:.

  • Thorough understanding of the electrical supply industry, including Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), National Grid ESO, and relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical systems, including the ability to interpret and assess detailed information and drawings.
  • You must hold a Degree in Electrical Engineering and a HV SAP recognised Certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in using technology for remote collaboration (e.g., MS Teams) and project management software.
  • Must evidence additional safety and compliance training such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
