Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be once again partnering with a fantastic, growing organisation to help source a Finance Manager to join their close knit finance function. The role offers a salary of circa £40,000 per annum (based on experience), 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays, but including Christmas Shut down), hybrid working, pension, free onsite parking and ownership in a growing, yet settled role.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure robust financial systems and procedures are in place.
  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts and associated reporting.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, accruals / prepayments etc.
  • Complete complex monthly Cost of Sales calculations to be processed against WIP.
  • Oversee cost to complete schedules and attend monthly Operations meetings to provide financial and analytical support.
  • Undertake cashflow management and liaison with shareholder and funder.
  • Ensure adherence to existing Funding Agreement through the management of borrowing and loan facilities and interest calculations.
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting process including variance analysis.
  • Assist the Finance & Governance Director in the preparation of year end Statutory Financial Statements across all companies.
  • Collate monthly payroll data for submission to external provider for processing.
  • Manage the company’s pension scheme in terms of additions and deletions to the scheme and required reporting.
  • Undertake payment and bacs processing as required.
  • Undertake HMRC reporting and submission of returns for CIS.
  • Complete VAT returns.

The right candidate will have extensive experience in a similar role, ideally from a commercial and/or SME environment. Excellent systems knowledge is key, and you will have ideally used COINS or be proficient on a number of systems (ideally having implemented them previously) and be highly proficient on Excel. This role is suited to a QBE or part qualified individual with strong communication skills and the ability to fit into an SME finance function.
