My client is looking for a Technical Specialist (Mechanical) to work within a dedicated R&D eMotor team in Bicester, Oxfordshire.

The company designs, develops and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines and inverters for traction applications. As part of their UK expansion, they are looking for talented Engineers to join our Research & Development team.

Ideal candidate requires-

  • Extensive experience with Mechanical Design of Electric Motors, Inverters and Gearboxes.
  • Extensive experience with 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred, but open for others).
  • Experience with calculation and definitions of bearings, gears and seals.
  • Experience with castings, plastics parts, weldings, assembly tooling, jigs and fixtures.
  • Experience with 2D drawings, GD&T, design for manufacture, FMEA.
  • Experience with cooling systems and systems integration.
  • Experience with performance, validation and lifetime testing.

Desirable skills-

  • Desirable experience with Mechanical Stress analysis and CFD..
