My client is looking for a Technical Specialist (Mechanical) to work within a dedicated R&D eMotor team in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
The company designs, develops and tests tailor-made, highly efficient compact electric powertrains, drives, machines and inverters for traction applications. As part of their UK expansion, they are looking for talented Engineers to join our Research & Development team.
Ideal candidate requires-
- Extensive experience with Mechanical Design of Electric Motors, Inverters and Gearboxes.
- Extensive experience with 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred, but open for others).
- Experience with calculation and definitions of bearings, gears and seals.
- Experience with castings, plastics parts, weldings, assembly tooling, jigs and fixtures.
- Experience with 2D drawings, GD&T, design for manufacture, FMEA.
- Experience with cooling systems and systems integration.
- Experience with performance, validation and lifetime testing.
Desirable skills-
- Desirable experience with Mechanical Stress analysis and CFD..
