Key Tasks:

  • Responsible for day-to-day processes of Goods In and leadership of the Goods In personnel.
  • Responsible for resolving any invoice queries in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for ensuring goods inward quantity and liaise with quality Department for QA checks.
  • Responsible, in conjunction with the Warehouse Manager, for liaison with the Production Management, to ensure effective stores service.
  • Responsible for developing individuals to meet business objectives.
  • Responsible for ensuring all material being received is checked, receipted and put away using best practice.
  • Ensure FIFO method of storage is being applied.
  • Ensure shortage material is identified and processed to avoid and minimise disruption to the production line.
  • Undertake any relevant training or other duties in conduction with this post.
  • Attend management meetings when required.
  • Manage implementation maintain 5s programme.
  • Report to the Warehouse manager on any issues.
  • Check every day that all parts that are not booked have a valid reason.
  • Stock accuracy is maintained above 98%.
  • Manage personnel regarding stocktakes.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the monthly and yearly stock take.
  • Manage compliance with all company procedures.
  • Any other duties requested by warehouse management.

Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.

Knowledge of Parts kitting

Current Fork Truck Licence

Specialist Knowledge / Skills

Experience of using computerised stock control system to receive and issue materials

Experience of kitting parts for issue

Flexible and adaptable

Good attendance, disciplinary and timekeeping record

Able and willing to work overtime when required

Desirable

GCSE or equivalent ( 2 at Grade C or above)

Experience of materials handling control in an Engineering Environment

Understanding and working knowledge of cycle counting Health and Safety knowledge
