Job Type: Part Time (5 days, 20-30 hours per week)

Salary: £13-15 per hour depending on experience

Location : Near Bicester, Oxfordshire

We’re actively searching for a Finance Assistant to join a small Finance department for a large Manufacturing business.

For you, it’s an opportunity to take a part time role with flexible hours and support the existing finance team in raising Purchase Orders, collating proof of delivery, supporting invoice queries and supporting a wide range of finance functions across the business.

The business itself delivers quality, time-sensitive printed products to a range of high profile clients, and possesses a huge amount of knowledge and personal drive in their people.

They’re a diverse and experienced team, and you will play an important role in supporting the day to day operation and function of a fast moving business

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the raising of Purchase Orders
  • Collating Delivery Notes / PODs
  • Receipting goods on arrival
  • Liaising with Accounts Payable on invoice queries
  • Contact with suppliers to chase up queries or missing paperwork
  • Posting of Sales Ledger invoices
  • Tracking progress of Sales during each month

On a broader level, this role will also support other areas of the wider business as well as being involved in various ad hoc projects as required.

To be successful, we would like you to have:

  • Good standard of written and numerical skills
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail and comfortable following processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel including basic formulas
  • Organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team
  • Office experience
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Confident in a fast moving manufacturing environment

If this sounds like the kind of opportunity you can get your teeth into, we'd love to hear from you.

We aren’t necessarily seeking all the finance experience in the world (but we do appreciate it), what is most important is that we are able to provide you a positive and motivated working environment that supports and grows with you.
